From June 15 to 19, 2018, a highly anticipated employee vacation of Cheung Kei Group officially commenced during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The Group specially arranged trips to Guizhou and Phuket for two groups of employees to enjoy an amazing holiday. On June 15, the employees and their families who participated in the Guizhou trip first went to Guizhou for four days to enjoy the spectacular scenery, cuisine and culture infascinating Qiandongnan. During the trip, the Cheung Kei Group second-quarter employee birthday party was successfully held, and the employees had an unforgettable and happy birthday.

At A Famous Town to Feel the Ancient Charm

Qingyan Ancient Town

Early before, the Human Resources Administration Department arranged the itinerary and accommodation to make a fun-packed yet relaxing trip. On that day, Cheung Kei buddies arrived at the destination to express the "cool of Guiyang". The fresh air and moderate temperature there made it perfect for sightseeing. The first spot was Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the four famous towns in Guizhou, which has a rich cultural heritage of more than 600 years. Buddies who have lived in the metropolis for a long time were amazed by the ancient green stone roads, old archways, long roadways, quainttile-roofed houses and high walls. Walking around the town, they not only experienced the serene and leisurely life of the ancient town residents, but also tasted the local snacks. It was a comfortable and relaxing time.

An integration of modern and primitive simplicity

Everything here exudes the ancient charm of the local people: dense ancient buildings, walls piled up by stones in the streets, mirror-like green stone road and all kinds of local snacks and specialty shops.The buddies took a slow walk, capturing every beautiful moment with their cameras.

At the Dragon Palace to Watch Waterfalls and Caves

On the second morning, the sun was shining brightly.The Cheung Kei buddies took a coach to the Dragon Palace Scenic Spot in Anshun City to view the magical karst landscape, magnificent cave waterfalls, and calm green rivers. The buddies walked along a path, listening to the flowing water in silence. In a pleasant mood, they enjoyed the beautiful scenery around and felt the breath of nature in this natural oxygen bar.

The Dragon's Gate Waterfall is the largest cave waterfall in China. The waterfall spurts down with a roar from the huge cave, making the surroundings humid and misty. The daring buddies followed the pathfrom the side of the stone wall and got to the nearest spot to the entrance ofthe cave, where they felt the water droplets from the waterfall.

Buddies are on a boat

The only way to enter the karst cave of the Dragon Palace is to take a boat and sail through the jade-like Tianchi lake. Several boats carried the Cheung Kei buddies to slowly enter the cave. The passageway at the cave mouth was narrow and full of strange rocks, creating a mysterious atmosphere. When the boats reached the end of the passageway, there came the spectacular view as a huge deep cave appeared. The stalactites in the cave have developed into a variety of forms after hundreds of millions of years. Under the light of the lanterns, they are beautiful and amazing, just like the crystal palace where the dragon king lives. Some buddies couldn't help but to admire: "Any mountain can be famous with the presence of an immortal, and any river can be holy with the presence of a dragon."

With the introduction of atour guide, we knew that these stalactites have different names such as "Woodpecker", "Stone Falls", "Braised Carp Head", "Crystal Grape" and "Upside-Down Pig". Visiting the Dragon Palace on a boat is eventful.

Steep Slope Pond Waterfall

The biggest highlight of Guizhou is undoubtedly the Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall. In the afternoon that day, the Cheung Kei buddies came to the Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall Scenic Area. They saw the widest waterfall: Steep Slope Pond Waterfall. In the music video of the 85th edition of Journey to the West theme song,Tripitaka and his three followers crossed the river with the horse; the scene was filmed right here. After that, the buddies entered the Tianxingqiao Scenic Spot in the lower reaches of the Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall Scenic Area, where ornamental stone, tree and water are amazingly combined. "Birthstones" is especially interesting. A large number of original stones emerge from the ponds. There are stones engraved January 1st to December 31st. People believe that if you find your own birthstone and take a picture with it, good luck will be with you in the coming year. After arriving at the Star Lake, the location of Gao Lao Zhuang in Journey to the West,everyone took the 170m-long Asia's largest sightseeing escalator to the Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall.

Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall is the largest waterfall in China and Asia. Water crashes into the 17m-deep Rhinoceros Pool as if a thunder of waterfall. It was magnificent and breathtaking. Praising nature’screation and the beauty of the motherland, Cheung Kei buddies took a group photo in front of the waterfall. It is worth mentioning that there is a water-curtain cave behind the big waterfall. Through the rock and round the waterfall, you can listen to and view the waterfall through the cave holes and cave windows. It is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The second-quarter employee birthday party of Cheung Kei Group was specially held during the trip. The buddies blessed each other and sang the birthday song. The birthday buddies made wishes and blew out the candles. Everyone smiled happily when sharing the cake, drinking Miaojia wine,and enjoying the rich local cuisine in a warm and harmonious atmosphere. An unforgettable birthday party was wonderfully celebrated.

Experience Folk Culture with The Long Table Feast

Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village

Both mountains and rivers in Guizhou are scenic, and the ethnic customs are rich as well. There are 39 ethnic groups here, giving rise to a vibrant folk culture. On the third day, the Cheung Kei buddies went to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village in southeastern Guizhou to experience the local Miao culture and customs, just as the famous writer Yu Qiuyu said: "Respond to everything with beauty." On the mountains, there are a series of pillar-supported houses built with Miaojia wood, spectacular and beautiful. The flowing water surrounds the village, where young men and women in beautiful Miao clothes and Miao jewelry dance merrily.

Cheung Kei buddies followed the local customs and accepted the most ceremonious welcoming etiquette of the Miao family. They tasted the delicious reputed fish in sour soup at the long table feast. As the singers singing welcoming songs, they drank the rice wine handed by the Miaojia sisters, and experienced the Miaojia wine culture of "high mountain and flowing water", putting a perfect end to the day.

At the Miao Village

At night, pretty Miao women invited and led the buddies to dance the local folk dance. Everyone danced around the bonfire in high spirits. The buddies also sang songs on the spot to showcase their beautiful voices. As everyone turned on the light of their mobile phones, it was like a small concert with the bonfire under the night sky.

In vibrant Guizhou, with beautiful scenery and rich culture, the buddies relaxed themselves and had an unforgettable time. On the day of return, Cheung Kei buddies also visited the Kaili National Culture Palace to appreciate and understand the Guizhou ethnic minority ornaments, which have a history of thousands of years.
