“Spring Encounter with Cheung Kei” - First Quarter Employee Birthday Party

March 31, 2018, Cheung Kei Group conducted its 2018 first quarter employee birthday party themed “Spring Encounter with Cheung Kei”as a herald of renewal and hope. Chen Xiaoxia, Executive Vice President of Cheung Kei Group, responsible persons from Chairman Office and different departments,birthday buddies and employee representatives went to a renowned vacation getaway Evergreen Resort to enjoy a relaxing birthday celebration. Not only did the employees enjoy the greenery and burst of spring colors, but also they had a better sense of connection to the company. The event facilitated exchanges among employees and strengthened their bonds.

In March, a range of blooming flowers fills Evergreen Resort with a splash of green on the tree out front sprouted. Wearing t-shirts with the company logo, our employees stood out from the crowd. They were immersed in the natural world, enjoying the magic of nature and freshness. They participated in a wide range of activities, including seeing a waterfall,getting a taste of the tropical rainforest, having a naturally thrilling experience at a suspension bridge and watching an array of birds and marine animals. They captured the beauty of the trip with their phones and shared on their WeChat group named “Blessing of Spring”. The pictures of their smiley faces and the breathtaking scenery gained many likes. Everyone had a great time there.

At 11:30 a.m., our employees came to an idyllic restaurant. Employees printed out the photos and wrote their wishes at the back of the photos. Others picked their favorites to keep a record of the moments.The blessings were heartwarming and sincere such as “wish you days filled with sunshine and flowers”, “all the best at work”, “happy birthday to everyone and wish every success to Cheung Kei” as well as “wish you happiness and good luckin life”.

The emcee of the party Zhang Huadong introduced each birthday buddy who received gifts and handmade birthday cards by Human Resources Administration Department. The cards gathered all special wishes from the Group and different departments. Then, it came to the fun interactive session. A rapid back-and-forth word game was conducted since the Chinese character “Spring (Chun)” matched with the theme of the party. Our employees had to come up with lyrics that consisted of the Chinese character “Spring(Chun)”. When the game kicked off, everyone was so responsive that they kept raising their hands. It was an interactive, engaging yet neck and neck competition. The first group, in the end, won the game.

Later on, the birthday buddies lit up candles on the exquisite birthday cake and made wishes, along with other employees singing birthday song. Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia, on behalf of the Group, sent sincere birthday wishes and cut the cake for the birthday buddies. With blessings and joy in the air, everyone smiled from ear to ear. They enjoyed the cake and a sumptuous gourmet selection while chit-chatting with each other.

The birthday party ended with laughter and appreciation. Everyone would definitely remember this joyful and heartwarming day. The employee birthday party, a traditional corporate culture activity of Cheung Kei Group, is fun-packed, creative and well-organized.This time, the birthday celebration was held outdoors to connect employees to the nature and to get away from the hustle and bustle for a relaxing and calming experience.
