Dai Beifang, President of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, Visited and Conducted a Survey of the Hong Kong Headquarters of Cheung Kei Group

On February 8, 2018, a delegation of Dai Beifang (President of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC), Xu Youjun (Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice-president of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC), Huang Man'e (Deputy Secretary-general of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Director-general of the General Affairs Office), Cai Ying (Director of the Division of Hong Kong & Macao Affairs) and Pan Jiadong (Director of the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan & Overseas Chinese and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC) visited and conducted a survey of the member enterprise. The delegation visited Cheung Kei Group's Hong Kong headquarters and was warmly received by Dr. Chen Hongtian (a CPPCC member, Hong Kong Justice of the Peace and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group). A discussion was held, with Chen Xiaoxia (Executive Vice President) and Chen Pengyu (Vice President) accompanied.

Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian led President Dai Beifang and other delegation members to visit the Cheung Kei Center in Hong Kong. Watching the corporate video, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian introduced the Group's development strategy and several major M&A projects in 2017 to President Dai Beifang, including the overall acquisition of two landmark buildings on London's Canary Wharf - 20 Canada Square and 5 Churchill Place, which made the Group one of the largest investors in London's Canary Wharf. Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian also talked about his view on charity and reported on his performance as a member of three consecutive National Committees of the CPPCC. Moreover, he discussed with participants about proposals such as medical reform and urban construction.

President Dai Beifang highly recognized Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian and said that Chairman Dr. Chen has not only done a good job in enterprise management, but he also has a strong sense of responsibility for the society and actively participates in public welfare undertakings. President Dai Beifang expressed congratulations to Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian on being elected as a member of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC. He hoped that Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian will play a greater role as a CPPCC member. As a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC from Hong Kong, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian shall make more contributions to safeguarding the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and to strengthening the cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
