On September 5, 2016, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cheung Kei Group Dr. Chen Hongtian attended the first Chinese Charity Day theme activity in Shenzhen as well as the award ceremony of the third session of Pengcheng Charity Award, and won the gold award of "Pengcheng Charity Donation Individual". A total of more than 300 people participated in the event, including Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC Ma Xingrui, Tian Fu, member of Shenzhen Standing Committee, Luo Li, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Standing Committee of the CPC, Liu Runhua, Executive Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shenzhen Committee and other leaders, charitable award individual winners, the award-winning enterprise representatives, charitable organization representatives and media reporters.

Awarding

It is known that after internet voting and assessment of independent panel, a total of 126 institutions, individuals and projects won the third Pengcheng Charity Award, launched earlier this year. Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian won the gold prize of "Pengcheng Charity Donation Individual" and he donated RMB31.46 million in the year 2014-2015. At the ceremony, Secretary Ma Xingrui presented the awards to Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian and others who have won gold award of "Pengcheng Charity Donation Individual".

Over the years, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian has been supporting the charitable cause of social welfare, and has made a cumulative donation of charitable money of about RMB200 million. He has won the 2011 "Pengcheng Charity Outstanding Contribution Award", and ranks 47th in 2015 "Hurun Charity List - 100 most generous philanthropists in mainland China."
