Dr. Chen Hongtian is re-elected President of Harmony Club

On November 28, 2016, at the second session of inauguration ceremony of the Board of Supervisors and the 2016 annual meeting of Harmony Club held ceremoniously at Wuzhou Guest House, Chairman of the Board of Cheung Kei Group Dr. Chen Hongtian again was elected chairman of Harmony Club. Government leaders, 122 members of Harmony Club, 45 members of the Youth Committee of Harmony Club, more than 200 people in charge of various major banks in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and more than 400 senior executives from member companies of the club, the mainstream media of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, have gathered together to celebrate the event.

During the meeting, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian firstly expressed his heartfelt thanks to all members of Harmony Club who elected him to be chairman of Harmony Club again, and warmly congratulated the 149 members of Harmony Club's second Board of Supervisors and made work report for the first session of the Board of Supervisors on behalf of the club.

Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian said in his report that since its inception in 2012, Harmony Club has always adhered to the policy of the party, tightly focused on the "same ideology, same direction and advance together”, committed to practicing the "Harmony" ideas to build many development platforms for the communication between government and business, mutual win between banks and enterprises, exchanges and cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and charities to alleviate poverty. During the four years, the club has been growing and its members have developed to 149, all of whom are national economic elites and benchmarking entrepreneurs leading the industry. The club has set up Harmony Charity Foundation, Harmony Golf Association, Harmony Youth Committee and Harmony Secretary Fraternity. It held many activities such as exchanges between government and enterprise, cooperation between bank and enterprise, business interaction, communication between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and public welfare activities, which get high recognition and wide attention from all levels of governments and communities.

At the meeting, Minister of United Front Department of Shenzhen Lin jie spoke highly of the first Board of Supervisors of Harmony Club who has done a great deal of important work in the areas of communication between government and business, exchange between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and the outstanding achievements. She congratulated warmly the assumption of duty of Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian and all members of the second Board of Supervisors, and expressed her earnest expectations.
