Dr. Chen Hongtian Meeting with the New Committee of the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association

On March 16, 2021, Dr. Chen Hongtian, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the HKSAR, Chairman of Harmony Club, and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group met with the new committee of the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association, in his capacity as Chairman of the Harmony Club. The new committee is led by Chen Guoxiong, a Standing Committee Member of the Shenzhen CPPCC and new Chairman of the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association; Permanent Chairmen Zhao Lisheng and Huang Yucun; and Wu Bangxing, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and the event was held in the Harmony Club Building.

Dr. Chen Hongtian congratulated on the appointment of the new committee of the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association and extended his welcome to Chairman Chen Guoxiong and his delegation. At the meeting, Dr. Chen conveyed the spirit of the National People's Congress, he introduced the members of the Harmony Club who are appointed to the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the National People's Congress and their duties in the positions.

Dr. Chen added that in recent years, the Central Committee and the State Council had issued a series of policies and measures to support the development of private businesses, as it continues to foster the healthy development of the private sector. He hoped that all participants in attendance continue to uphold their sense of pride and patriotism, to serve the country by their work in the industry, as boosting the national economy is a great responsibility. By focusing on the development of businesses, businesses can strive to develop and contribute to the causes of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Businesses play a fundamental role in accomplishing the Chinese dream and reviving the greatness of Chinese culture.

Dr. Chen added that the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association has laid a solid foundation with the efforts of its former presidents, including Zhao Lixiang and Huang Yucun. The Association and the Harmony Club are closely knitted and united in their purpose, and there are over 30 members from Harmony Club who are also part of the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association. Harmony Club is a group driven by equality and unity, and its members are banded together for mutual support as they share a common goal for development. This is also a reason why the group could develop into an influential social organisation that is renowned in the country in just a few years.

President Chen Guoxiong expressed his heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chen Hongtian and the members of Harmony Club for their warm reception and support to the Shenzhen Chaoshan Youth Association. He then introduced the change in leadership at the Association. In their respective speeches, Chen Guoxiong, Zhao Lisheng, Huang Yucun, and Wu Bangxing commented that Harmony Club has become an influential group in the country, with patriotic and compassionate members who are also outstanding entrepreneurs at the same time. Many of these business leaders are the benchmarks in their respective fields and have made remarkable achievements in their careers. They concluded that Dr. Chen Hongtian is a selfless and courageous businessman who has made great contributions to the development of the club and offered support to the Club's affiliated businesses.
