Dr. Chen Hongtian, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the HKSAR, Chairman of Harmony Club and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group attended the "Bay Area Business & Youth Late-Night Talk" event in Shenzhen on 21 August, 2020. The organisers of the event, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, extended the invitation to the event. As the Co-Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, Dr. Chen lent his full support to the event, and had in-depth conversations with the entrepreneurs, along with 10 other renowned business leaders in attendance.

The "Bay Area Business & Youth Late-Night Talk" event concluded successfully.

The "Bay Area Business & Youth Late-Night Talk" event was organised by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union and its Public Service Platform for Youth Entrepreneurship. The platform facilitates direct interaction between renowned businessmen and outstanding entrepreneurs, to help entrepreneurs build better businesses, by tapping into the wealth of experience and resources of successful businessmen. In turn, this would infuse more youthful energy into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The event attracted 12 outstanding young entrepreneurs, in diverse fields such as new consumption, big data, artificial intelligence, industrial manufacturing, and smart hardware.

At the start of the event, the young entrepreneurs gave an introduction to their respective projects, and shared their entrepreneurial experience. After the young entrepreneurs' sharing segment, Li Xianyi, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Xinyi Group; Ji Liju, member of the Shenzhen CPPCC and Chairman of Shenzhen's Cadre Group Co., Ltd; Yang Song, member of the Shenzhen CPPCC and Chairman of Shenzhen Guangshengda Holdings; and You Zhonghui, member of the Guangdong CPPCC, member of the Shenzhen CPPCC, and Chairwoman of Shenzhen Fortune High Investment Group Co., Ltd.; and Dr. Chen Hongtian also shared their insights, guidance, and words of encouragement with the young entrepreneurs who attended the event.

Dr. Chen Hongtian shared with the audience that entrepreneurship is a difficult process that requires willpower and conviction. He noted that every successful entrepreneur only made it to where they are today through continuous hard work and dedication. Dr. Chen added that youths today must be able to bear hardship, remain diligent, fair and upright, well-prepared for adversity, and always grateful. Dr. Chen and Chairman Li Xiangyi also encouraged young entrepreneurs to focus on innovation, hard work, and on the development of the Greater Bay Area, as they support the development of Shenzhen, and contribute to the development of the city. The speakers also spoke about the importance of health and taking care of family when starting a business, and reminded the young entrepreneurs to follow the principle of giving within our means when contributing to charity.

During the event, the business leaders exchanged views on topics suchas  "seizing the opportunities of the domestic circulation and the dual circulation of the international & domestic economy", as well as "how traditional industries can embrace the digital economy". The event and the interactions facilitated was fruitful for all participants involved.

Morethan 40 guests attended the event, including Wang Shouqun, Secretary-General ofthe Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union; Guo Xiaodong, Executive Secretary of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union; Huang Zhimin, Head of Operation of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's Public Service Platform for Youth Entrepreneurship; Zhao Weiying, representative of a 'unicorn' company in the Bay Area, member of the Youth Committee of Harmony Club; and Liu Nanxing, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Club.
