Dr. Chen Hongtian Meet With HKTDC's Mr. Zhong Yongxi & Other Business Delegates

On June 28, 2020, Mr. Zhong Yongxi, chief representative of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Mainland China, visited Dr. Chen Hongtian, a CPPCC National Committee member, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the HKSAR, chairman of Shenzhen Harmony Club, and chairman of Cheung Kei Group, at Shenzhen Harmony Building, along with other delegates. Both parties had a meaningful discussion on topics such as the globalization of private enterprises, passing the baton to the new generation of successors in private businesses, and innovation.

During the meeting, Dr. Chen Hongtian gave a warm welcome to Mr. Zhong Yongxi and the team of delegates, he introduced the group to the history of the Shenzhen Harmony Club, as well as an overview to the development of the businesses operated by members of the club. Dr. Chen Hongtian said that HKTDC has been providing top-notch services such as corporate financing to Mainland businesses venturing in the Hong Kong market. Dr. Chen said he anticipates Cheung Kei Group and Shenzhen Harmony Club maintaining a close relationship with HKTDC, to seek opportunities to work together, and to create strategic partnerships that are a win-win for all parties involved.

On behalf of HKTDC, Mr. Zhong Yongxi also expressed interest in cooperating with businesses that are a part of Shenzhen Harmony Club. He also shared how HKTDC can help members of Shenzhen Harmony Club to liaise as they globalize in different sectors and markets, allowing businesses to engage Hong Kong as a platform to leap onto the global market.

After the meeting, Mr. Zhong Yongxi and his fellow delegates were given a tour of Cheung Kei Group's headquarters, where they were given an in-depth introduction to Cheung Kei Group's development, history, strategic plans, and key investments. Mr. Zhong said after the tour that he supports Cheung Kei Group's development and growth in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and globally.

The esteemed guests in attendance include Mr. Jim Zeng, HKTDC's chief representative from Shenzhen, Ms. Cao Huiling, the deputy supervisor, Mr. Xu Mingjin, chairman of the board of Shenzhen Xiangbin Investment Group, Mr. Ouyang Xiangshan, chairman of Shenzhen Beautiful Group, Mr. Yao Yongning, Shen Shang Holdings Limited, renowned entrepreneur Mr. Ji Shengzhi, renowned writer Ms. Xia Ping, and Ms. Liu Nanxing, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Harmony Club.

HKTDC was established in 1966, and it is dedicated to promoting Hong Kong's trade globally. It currently operates 13 offices in Mainland China, including its Shenzhen representative office, which was established in January 1993 with the approval of the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
