Cheung Kei Group honoured as “Top 10 Most Caring Enterprise” by Shenzhen Project Care

On May 20, 2019, the 16th Shenzhen Project Care Commendation Ceremony, - titled “2019, Moving Shenzhen” – was conducted at the Shenzhen Radio and Television Building. Cheung Kei Group was honoured as the “Top 10 Most Caring Enterprise” at the event. Chen Pengyu, the group's Vice President received the award on behalf of the company, and led a team of employees involved in the group's charity outreach programme to participate in the event. Over 800 participants attended the ceremony, including Deputy Party Secretaryof Guangdong Province and Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee Wang Weizhong, Shenzhen's Mayor Chen Rugui, veteran leader Li Youwei, and othermembers of society.

The 2019 Shenzhen Project Care Commendation Ceremony kickstarted at 8pm and was hosted by renowned CCTV anchor Bai Yansong. Awards were given out for the categories of “Top 10 Most Caring Individual”, “Top 100 Most Satisfactory Projects for Citizens”, “Top 10 Most Creative Projects”, “Top 10 Charity Organisation”, “Top 10 Most Caring Events”, “Top 10 Most Caring Enterprise”, “Advocate of the Year”, and “Special Tribute Award of the Year”. After the series of evaluation and a public poll, Cheung Kei Group was selected as the “Top 10 Most Caring Enterprise” from the 131 businesses nominated in the category.

During an interview with the press, Vice President Chen Pengyu said that showing gratitude to the society, giving back to the society, and proactively integrating corporate social responsibility in its work has always been the long-term imperative for all Cheung Kei employees. The “Top 10 Most Caring Enterprise” award received is a reflection of the government and society's recognition and commendation of the company's efforts in its charitable initiatives; the award is not merely an honour, but also a sense of responsibility. In the company's future development, it will continue to incorporate its strengths in its collaboration with various charity organisations and corporate stakeholders, to uphold a spirit of compassion when contributing to society.

The group has donated over 500 million Hong Kong dollars to different charities and progressive organisations, contributing to various charitable causes, from education and teaching programmes, youth development, patriotism campaigns, citizen moral and ethics, poverty alleviation, disaster relief, medical and healthcare.
