To celebrate China's 40 years of reform and opening up, the selection of individuals who have made pioneering efforts to "Inspire the Next Generation" in Shenzhen started early this year. The award is sponsored by Time Entrepreneur Magazine, the Shenzhen Economic Daily, Duchuang App Financial Channel and the Shenzhen Times Institute of New Economic Development. A list of the names of 40 pioneering entrepreneurs was unveiled at the end of August. Names were selected under the guidance of the Shenzhen Federation of Industry and Commerce and were recommended by various trade associations and chambers of commerce or self-nominated by enterprises. Comprehensive screening of award-winning enterprises has taken place over the past three years and nominees were vigorously reviewed by experts.
