People from all walks of life have heaped praise on the 4th Pengcheng Charity Awards since the nominations were announced in April 2018. A full list of winners was recently finalized based on votes made by the selection committee, review by an independent jury and through public hearings. A total of 107 organizations, individuals and projects were shortlisted. The awards were distributed as follows: Pengcheng Philanthropic Individual Award = 31 winners (Gold Award = 10, Silver Award = 10, Bronze Award= 11); Pengcheng Philanthropic Enterprise Award = 30 winners (Gold Award = 10, Silver Award = 10, Bronze Award = 10); Pengcheng Model Charitable Institution =10; Pengcheng People Who Moved Us = 10; Pengcheng Charity Promoter = 5; Pengcheng Model Area = 1.

Dr. Chen Hongtian, CPPCC member, Hong Kong Justice ofthe Peace & Chairman of Cheung Kei Group, was awarded with the gold medal in the Pengcheng Philanthropic Individual category at the 4th Pengcheng Charity Awards because of donating 46.55 million yuan between 2016 and 2017.

Dr. Chen Hongtian has been focused on public welfare for many years now, making donations of more than HKD 300 million to charity. During celebrations marking 30 years of the Special Administrative Region, he was presented with the Pengcheng Philanthropic Individual Contributor award. In 2016, he won the gold medal in the Pengcheng Philanthropic Individual category at the 3rd Pengcheng Charity Awards and was named as one of the 100 Outstanding Global Chinese Persons by the Global Outstanding Chinese Association and Chinese Literature Publishing Press. He won the Distinguished Hong Kong Person award at the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland in 2017, and in 2018 he was presented with the Leadership Award by the World Eminence Chinese Business Association.
