On July 22, 2018, Dr. Chen Hongtian, CPPCC member, Hong Kong Justice of the Peace and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group, attended the Teochew Youth Association's 2018 Annual Meeting and Assembly Hall Relocation Ceremony in Shenzhen, along with other entrepreneurs from Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Attendees included: Dai Beifang, Chairman of the Shenzhen Political Consultative Conference; Lin Jie, Head of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and United Work Front Department; Cai Dongshi, former Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee; Zhuang Lixiang, former Deputy Executive Director ofthe Shenzhen People's Congress, and other provinces in Guangdong Province; Huang Yucun, Head of the Shenzhen and Chaoshan Municipal Committee and Municipal Government and Chairman of the Teochew Youth Association of Shenzhen; Representatives of Chaozhou Associations from home and aboard; Members of the Teochew elite; over 1000 politicians, businessmen and members of the Teochew Youth Association of Shenzhen.

The Executive Deputy Minister of Shenzhen's United Work Front, Fan Kun, said that he hoped the celebration would be a great success. He said this in representation of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee and the United Work Front Department. The celebration also featured the relocation ceremony of the Chaoqing Guild Hall, the awards ceremony for the General Branch Committee of the Chaoqing Friendship Association in Shenzhen and the contract signing ceremony for charitable projects in four cities of the Chaoshan region.

The Harmony Club and the Teochew Youth Association in Shenzhen are part of a brotherhood which have been cooperating closely in many fields for many years. Shenzhen's Teochew Youth Association brings together influential young elites from the fields of commerce, finance, technology and culture. Dr. Chen Hongtian pays close attention to the development of the younger generation and by harnessing the collective strength of other members of the Harmony Club, he seeks to help all those who make up Shenzhen Teochew Youth Association to grow.
