June 29, 2018, the 2018 "Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Day" and "Shenzhen Charity Month" officially kicked off with an opening ceremony at Civic Center in Shenzhen. Cheung Kei Group was honored to receive "2017 Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Cotton Tree Golden Cup". Chen Xiaoxia, Executive Vice President of Cheung Kei Group, attended the ceremony and made a RMB 20 million donation to charity.

Before the ceremony, Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the Communist Party of Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Chen Rugui, Deputy Secretaryof the Communist Party of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shenzhen, Gao Zimin, Standing Committee of Communist Party of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Secretary General of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, Huang Min, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen as well as a group of high-level officials of the Shenzhen Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and National Committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)  met with Chen Xiaoxia, Executive Vice President of Cheung Kei Group, and representatives of other caring companies. They expressed their appreciation to companies and charity-devoted people for their charitable contributions.

At the kick-start ceremony at Civic Centre, high-ranking officials of Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau announced the companies and individuals award recipients of "2017 Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Cotton Tree Cup". Cheung Kei Group received "Cotton Tree Gold Cup" for acknowledging for its outstanding contributions. Huang Min, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen, delivered a speech and declared the official commencement of the 2018 "Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Day" and "Shenzhen Charity Month".
