Dr. Chen Hongtian Invited to Attend Shenzhen Municipal CPPCC's Seminar on Elementary Enforcement Work

May 31, 2018, Dai Beifang, Chairman of Shenzhen Municipal Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), leding a delegation of CPPCC national and provincial committees in Shenzhen as well as Shenzhen Municipal CPPCC committees to visit Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau to inspect the elementary enforcement work of the public security and to join a seminar. Cheung Kei Group Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian, CPPCC member and Justice of the Peace of Hong Kong, was invited to attend the seminar. A group of high level officials of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau and CPPCC joined the visit, including Xu Wenhai, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen and Director of Municipal Public Security Bureau, Wang Pu, Vice Chairman of Shenzhen CPPCC as well as Li Zhenhe, Chairman of Municipal Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission.

The delegation first visited the Command Centre of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau, followed by the seminar on public security elementary enforcement work. The officials of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau gave an overview and introduced the development of smart policing, technology information, closed-loop enforcement and community policing.

Dr. Chen Hongtian and CPPCC committees acknowledged the achievement of the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau in facilitating public security elementary enforcement work and gave advice and recommendations on how to protect personal information security, optimize the standardized system of elementary enforcement work and elementary police equipment, enhance a sense of honor of police security and promote law.

The seminar

Dr. Chen Hongtian mentioned that public security authorities, in today's technologically advanced world, should highly value the security of personal information and privacy. He hoped that they would criminalize illegal online behavior such as privacy infringement and false accusation to protect personal information and the rights of the public.

The inspection of elementary enforcement work of public security is the priority of Shenzhen Municipal CPPCC this year. Since March, the inspectorate has carried out investigation and inspection frequently and hosted a number of seminars to collect public opinion and better understand the social condition. Through supervisory inspection, the inspectorate found the challenges and issues of elementary enforcement work and gave feasible suggestions.
