Harmony Club and Shenzhen Certified Tax Agents Association (SCTAA) co-organized on Nov. 20 the special lecture on “Due Diligence & Risk Control of Tax-related Information about Non-resident Financial Account” in the Harmony Building. Wang Mingyuan, director general of Inspection Bureau No. 2 of Shenzhen Municipal Office, SAT, was invited to give a special lecture. Dr. Chen Hongtian, chairman of both Cheung Kei and Harmony Club, Xu Hui, deputy director of CTA Management Center of Shenzhen Municipal Office, SAT, Zheng Xu, vice-chairman of the Club's board of supervisors, and secretary general Ou Qiwen also attended the occasion.

Wang Mingyuan analyzed and explained the general profile, background, main content, tax-related risk control, risk aversion of multinational tax source, domestic law and tax system in these main host countries about the Management Methodon Due Diligence & Risk Control of Tax-related Information about Non-resident Financial Account, and thoroughly addressed the concerns every one raised.

In the lecture

With his over two decades of commitment to international taxation and abundant experience in both theory and practice, Mr. Wang is serving as the planner and chief reviewer of the Taxation Service for Shenzhen's Going-out Enterprises published by Shenzhen Municipal Government; he has conducted in-depth researches international taxation and developed his own insight. As a former member of Expert Review Committee of Major Case of Anti-tax Avoidance under State Administration of Taxation, he led the biggest anti-tax case investigation in China, and served as the head of Administrative Office and International Tax Office of Large Enterprise under Shenzhen Municipal Office, SAT. Currently, he is the director general of Inspection Bureau No. 2 of Shenzhen Municipal Office, SAT & visiting professor of Shenzhen University, his publications including the Strategy to Avoid Tax-involved Risk in Multinational M&A.

Founded in Aug. 2003, SCTAA is made up of Shenzhen Tax Agent Office, practiced and certified tax agents, non-practiced and certified tax agents, administrative organization of tax agents and voluntary tax workers supporting the industry of tax agent, supervised and managed by Shenzhen Municipal Office, SAT and Shenzhen Local Taxation Bureau. For now, the Association has 181 corporate members, 2731 individual members and 4363 practitioners.
