Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian Has Donated RMB26 Million to Support the Development of the University of International Business and Economics

On December 30, 2017, Dr. Chen Hongtian (a CPPCC member, Hong Kong Justice of the Peace and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group) attended a large celebration with the theme of "Three Decades of Golden Time, Hundreds of Years for Building a Dream" hosted by the Shenzhen Alumni Association of the University of International Business and Economics at Hilton Hotel in Shenzhen.

Song Hai (a CPPCC member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association),Zhang Hongyi (Honorary President and former Shenzhen Deputy Mayor), Wang Jiaqiong (President of the University of International Business and Economics and President of the Alumni Association), Guo Jinbao (Honorary President of the Alumni Association and former Vice President of the University of International Business and Economics), alumni from all walks of life in Shenzhen, ten representatives of the alumni associations of this university from all parts of the country and 18 representatives of alumni associations of various Chinese universities attended the event.

Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian delivers a speech

Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian delivered a speech on behalf the Shenzhen Alumni Association and congratulated the university on its continuous achievements. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Alumni Association, he promised to donate at least another RMB10 million to his alma mater to support its subject development. In 2008, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian passed his thesis defense at the University of International Business and Economics and received a doctorate in economics. In addition to this donation, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian has donated RMB26 million to his alma mater. He is an outstanding representative of the students of the University of International Business and Economics who insist on their ideals, appreciate for favors received and love the country and people.

This party was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Alumni Association of the University of International Business and Economics. At the party, Wang Jiaqiong, President of the University of International Business and Economics, honored Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian and other alumni with the "Outstanding Achievement Award" to pay tribute on behalf of the Alumni Association for their tremendous contributions to theShenzhen Alumni Association during its 30 years of history.

In addition, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian met with Wang Jiaqiong, President of the University of International Business and Economics, and representatives of Shenzhen Alumni Association at the Cheung Kei Building, sharing the alumni friendship and seeking the development prospect of the university.
