Dr. Chen Hongtian donated RMB2 million to Liaoyang County to support its development

During May 14th to 18th, 2017, CPPCC member, Justice of the Peace of Hong Kong, Chairman of Cheung Kei Group Dr. Chen Hongtian visited Liaoyang County and accepted the honor trophy rewarded by Liaoyang County government. The trophy is to show thanks to Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian for that he donated RMB2 million this year to support Liaoyang's economic and social development and social philanthropy. During the visit, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian, accompanied by the county's party secretary Wang Zhongxue, Deputy Secretary Sun Boye, and Minister of United Front Department of the county Ji Zhong, visited Zongshun Middle School, Shoushan Jinghong Art Museum and other places. The two sides also communicated on the donation for students and other related matters.

Honor trophy

During visiting Liaoyang County, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian decided to donate money to build two rural hospitals for the grassroots in Liaoyang so that grassroots villagers could get better medical care and live a healthy and happy life.

In Zongshun Middle School, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian had a tour of the school's teaching building, playground and other infrastructures, and made detailed understanding on the construction of comprehensive museum with physical education, art teaching and training. Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian said at the meeting that he has been concerned about the development of Liaoyang County. In recent years, Liaoyang County's economic and social development has been rapid and he hoped to perform good social responsibility and to do a modest job to contribute to the development of local education industry. At the same time, he hoped that the two sides can strengthen communication and enhance friendship.

Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian visits Zongshun Middle School

Wang Zhongxue, Secretary of the county's party committee, firstly expressed thanks to Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian for his long-standing contribution to social welfare of Liaoyang County. He said that Liaoyang County had a superior geographical position and investment environment, and hoped to strengthen cooperation with Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian to make his benevolence continue to be inherited and promoted in society.

A Campus Corner of Zongshun Middle School

Over the years, Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian has been concerned with supporting the charitable cause of social welfare and has donated over RMB200 million. In order to support the development of education in his hometown, he donated nearly 20 times in 2001 to 2013 to Liaoyang Zongshun middle school and Zongshun primary school, with a cumulative value of more than RMB10 million and made great contribution to the building of Liaoyang's education infrastructures.
