Director of Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau Zhang Guojun's Visit to Cheung Kei Group

On February 22, 2021, Zhang Guojun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau, visited Cheung Kei Group on a visit to observe the business operations and culture. He met and had a discussion with Dr. Chen Hongtian, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the HKSAR, Chairman of Harmony Club, and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group; and Chen Xiaoxia, President of Cheung Kei Group, to discuss the collaboration between businesses and the tax authorities in the market economy.

Dr. Chen Hongtian extended a warm welcome to Director Zhang Guojun and his delegation. Dr. Chen Hongtian first introduced the development history and future plans of Cheung Kei Group, the company's corporate income tax payment and cooperation with tax authorities over the years, and he complimented on the professional and efficient services for businesses provided by the Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau.

Dr. Chen Hongtian suggested that the tax authorities could learn from the UK's flexible and friendly tax services, convenient measures and preferential tax policies that better facilitate the business development of corporations,improve the investment environment, while boosting the confidence of businesses.

Director Zhang Guojun gave an overview of the work accomplished and the achievements of the Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau in 2020 and expressed his gratitude to Cheung Kei Group for its support of their work over the years. He acknowledges the group's contribution to society and said that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen communication with the company, listen to their thoughts and demands in taxation matters, and address the practical problems faced by the group. He hoped that the group's feedback and suggestions would be helpful to the taxation department's work, which will,in turn, allow them to better serve the company and other players in the business sector.
