Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Cheung Kei Group has actively supported the community in the fight against the epidemic through donations of money and supplies, rent reduction, and publicity for charitable causes. The group donated 100,000 masks to the community of Hong Kong, and a total sum of HK$3million to welfare organisations such as the Hong Kong Volunteers Federation and AHK Fund Limited. The funds donated were used for the purchase of anti-epidemic supplies, to support families and people in need, as well as to assist small, medium and micro-sized enterprises and individuals who require urgent financial support due to the turmoil of the extradition bill crisis.

To help tenants who have been financially affected by the epidemic, the group took the initiative to reduce rent, saving their tenants over 20 million Hong Kong dollars. In addition, Cheung Kei Group also used their property for the display of advertisements on their property, LED screens, and other channels, to publicise information on the epidemic, and thank you messages to the medical workers. The company participated in the "light up" event initiated by the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link, to honour and motivate medical workers by displaying supportive messages to frontline medical workers, and to urge the general public to work together to fight the epidemic, and overcome the challenges together. Over 1 million Hong Kong dollars was used on these publicity campaigning costs.

The coronavirus epidemic is yet to be completely eradicated, and Cheung Kei Group hopes to set a good example with its actions, to inspire more businesses in joining the fight against the epidemic. Businesses should be brave in the face of crisis, to take on an active role in society as a part of its corporate social responsibility, to contribute to the fight against the epidemic both in China and even globally.
