Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, Dr. Chen Hongtian, a member of the CPPCC National Committee, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the HKSAR, and Chairman of Cheung Kei Group, has been extending his help to the community through the donation of money and supplies, rent reduction, public awareness campaigns, and other ways. Dr. Chen has been dutifully fulfilling the company's corporate social responsibility, by giving back to society.

As a Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Volunteers Federation, Dr. Chen Hongtian had donated HK$500,000 to the Federation back in February, to support the fight against the epidemic, and to extend help and support to the underprivileged families and individuals in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, he also donated 100,000 masks to the community to overcome hurdles together in these challenging times. Recently, Dr. Chen had also donated HK$500,000 to the AHK Fund in Hong Kong, for the purchase of anti-epidemic supplies, to help SMEs and citizens who urgently require financial support due to the turmoil of the anti-extradition bill movement.

Many businesses have been greatly affected by the epidemic, and are facing difficulties in these challenging times. In order to reduce the loss of the group's merchants, Dr. Chen Hongtian took the initiative to reduce or exempt the rent of merchants for a total amount of over20 million Hong Kong dollars, in hopes to stand bravely with other businesses in the current market climate. In addition, Dr. Chen also used advertisement space of his company's building, LED displays, and other channels to broadcast messages of gratitude to medical workers. In total, he had invested over 1million Hong Kong dollars of advertising expenses for the cause, and to call on fellow citizens to work together to fight the epidemic and overcome the challenging times together.
