Dr. Chen Hongtian honoured with “Walk for Millions Diamond Community Ambassador” award

During the recent “8th Community Chest Walk for Millions” event, Dr. Chen Hongtian, a CPPCC National Committee member, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the Hong Kong SAR, and Cheung Kei Group's Chairman was elected as one of the ten “Diamond Community Ambassador”. The charity event was jointly-organised by Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, Shenzhen Project Care, and Shenzhen Project Care Foundation, and this is Cheung Kei Group's participation in the event for the fifth consecutive year. To date, the group has contributed a total of 1 million yuan in donations to the cause.

Over the years, Dr. Chen Hongtian has always been an ardent supporter of social causes for addressing poverty alleviation, education, and youth development. He is also a strong advocate for charity activities organised by pro-China and pro-Hong Kong organisations, and has led employees of the group to participate actively in a wide range of events, cumulatively donating over HK$500million to date.

Dr. Chen Hongtian, Chairman of the company and the group, has received numerous accolades such as the “Pengcheng Enterprise Charity Award”, “China Glory Society's Golden Contributions Award”, “Guangdong Province Glory Enterprise”, “Pengcheng Charity Outstanding Contribution Award”, ranked 47th on the top 100 of the “Hurun China Philanthropy List”, “Pengcheng Charity Individual Donations Gold Award”, a gold award for the “Guangdong Red Cotton Cup” which specialises on poverty alleviation, a“Leadership Prize” from the “Global Outstanding Chinese Association”, the “Top 10 Most Caring Enterprise” from Shenzhen Project Care, and recognised as a “Top Donor to Shenzhen Charities” for several years in a row.

The “Community Chest Walk for Millions - Diamond Community Ambassador Award” presented to Dr. Chen Hongtian is an acknowledgement and recognition of Dr. Chen and Cheung Kei Group's immeasurable contributions to charity for over thirty years. It is also a motivation and reminder for Cheung Kei employees to never stop giving back to the community. Moving forward, Dr. Chen Hongtian will continue to lead the group in embracing more social responsibility, to work more diligently for charitable causes, and to seek more growth and value which could be funnelled back to contribute to the society.
