On March 29, 2019, Dr. Chen Hongtian, a CPPCC National Committee member, a Justice of the Peace appointed by the Hong Kong SAR, and Chairman of the Cheung Kei Group attended the inaugural Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area Business Leaders Summit and addressed the audience of almost 300 renowned business leaders from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on the development opportunities of the region. The event was hosted by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, and co-organized by Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce - Qianhai, and China Resources Land Qianhai Co. Ltd.

As the co-chair of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, Dr. Chen Hongtian had been paying close and constant attention to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's growth and infrastructure development. He has participated in various forums coordinated by the organization, and has been actively engaged in dialogue with the heads of the government authorities and renowned business leaders from the Greater Bay Area, on topics such as how the industrial and commerce sector of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao could support the development of the Greater Bay Area, and the outlook for the future of the region. During this year's NPC & CPPCC Annual Sessions, Dr. Chen Hongtian had also submitted a "Proposal on the Promotion of Mobility and Flow of Talentin the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", reflecting his utmost support for and contribution to the development of the Greater Bay Area.

During this summit, Dr. Chen Hongtian shared his views on how the national strategy for the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has provided each city with massive opportunities, as the plan has brought to the megalopolis unique advantages in the fields of finance, science and technology, and manufacturing. Hong Kong is well positioned as a super connector, by acting as the international gateway for the other cities in the Greater Bay Area to access more global financial services and financial trading opportunities. The national strategy will result in a synergy effect for the megalopolis, bringing immeasurable benefit for the parties involved. With the rapid development of Shenzhen in recent years, the Pearl River Delta has become one of the fastest developing regions in the world, and it is projected that the development of this megalopolis will be met with very favorable prospects. Entrepreneurs from the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area ought to seize the opportunity of the region's overall development trends, and leverage this momentum to build confidence in making investments, and act proactively to contribute to the progress of the Greater Bay Area.

During the event, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union had formally established the nation's first public service platform targeted at serving young entrepreneurs and businesses from the Greater Bay Area: the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area Public Service Platform for Young Entrepreneurs. In his introduction to the platform, Dr. Chen Hongtian had shared that the organization greatly values youth entrepreneurship, as well as the nurturing and support of young entrepreneurs, as the youths would shape the future of the Greater Bay Area. This platform will be the first platform in China for renowned business leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue and interaction with entrepreneurs, and as a support-oriented service platform, it will provide young entrepreneurs in the Greater Bay Area with free services such as financing matching, legal consultation, assets and resources matching, entrepreneurship advisory, knowledge-sharing, and opportunities for project collaborations, to support the youths in the Greater Bay Area to innovate and to start businesses.
