On August 3rd 2018, Shenzhen CPPCC members, Cheung Kei Group's Vice President Chen Pengyu and members of the Youth Commission attended a forum entitled "How can young people perform more effectively in the new era" Discussions were held with Shenzhen CPPCC Standing Committee members including, Chairman Dai Beifang, Vice Chairman Xu Youjin, Deputy Secretary General and Director of the General Office Huang Man'e, and the Director of Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Pan Jiadong.

During the forum, members of the Youth Commission, Chen Pengyu, Ma Jinxin, He Chaoying, Liu Gensen, Zhang Hao, Chen Yuwu, Yang Tinwei and Lai Junlin, drew on real work experience to discuss and make suggestions regarding cooperation between Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macai, UN public welfare activities, Big Data, the Shenzhen and Hong Kong Youth Innovation-Entrepreneurship Base, Youth Venture Capital, Real Estate Policy, Financial innovation and how to play a good role in religious matters.

Chairman Dai Beifang gave his sincere approval of the achievements made by the Youth Commission and expressed his desire that they can keep improving in their efforts to represent, look after, lead and draw attention to the needs of young people, encouraging them to actively voice their opinions and perform their duties using the platform provided by the CPPCC. While fulfilling their duties and carrying out their work, they should continue the glorious traditions of the older generation, giving full play to the spirit of the young committee members who dare to try, while striving to build their own careers. They should also seek to make greater contributions to any work that involves cooperation between Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao.
