On Nov. 3, 2017, Dr. Chen Hongtian, CPPCC member, Hong Kong Justice of the Peace & Cheung Kei Chairman met Zhuang Lixiang, President of Federation of Shenzhen Commerce in the Harmony Building. Some Shenzhen and Hong Kong entrepreneurs also were present.

Chairman Dr. Chen said at the meeting that Federation of Shenzhen Commerce is an influential social group in Shenzhen and other parts of the country.There are many successful experiences to learn from. He hopes both parties could have more cooperation and communication. He also expressed his own philanthropic understanding: first, the top priority for Chinese entrepreneurs is doing a business of their own. On this basis, they are encouraged toprovide non-profit and philanthropic services whenever possible; second, borrowing-based philanthropy shouldn't be encouraged, as we're supposed to do charity only within our capabilities.

President Zhuang said, Chairman Dr. Chen is an admirable leader. That's why he could be reappointed chairman for two terms, and that's also a wise choice of Harmony Club. He noted, the Federation of Shenzhen Commerce has been growing stronger and stronger since it was founded in 2005. If all members of the Federation stand together and stick to one goal, they will undoubtedly create an unstoppable force that leads them to the top of businesscircle in China and the rest of the world. Today is a chance for the Federation to have dialogue with and strengthen its relationship with Shenzhen and Hong Kong entrepreneurs. This is a new starting point that promises a higher-level win-win partnership in future.
